Appearance

Tsunagoro is a very skinny man with a very elongated face. He has light hair, which he has tied into a haircut with two Chonmage. The rest of his hair falls off to the side of his face, similar to a torn straw hat, so his right eye is mostly covered. He has a large mouth with the corners of his mouth pulled way up, usually giving him a sinister grin. He also always has a twig in his mouth. He wears a light-dark checkered kimono, which is already frayed at the ends, and a light cape. Furthermore he wears sandals.
Personality
As a former yakuza boss, Tsunagoro was respected by all his subordinates and had earned the respect of the other yakuza bosses, even Hyogoro. He supported Wano Country from the shadows and stood by Kozuki Oden, making him stand up to Kurozumi Orochi. He would rather do punitive work in the prison mine than serve him.
Still, he’s a criminal and doesn’t hesitate to use violence, so he and the other yakuza bosses wanted to torture the Straw Hat Captain because he spoke disparagingly of Hyogoro in their eyes.
Skills and strength
As a former yakuza boss, he still has a lot of authority even after 20 years in the Udon mine, so more allies have joined the rebellion because of him.
Past
At some unspecified point, he was appointed yakuza boss of the Hakumai region, but when the Beasts Pirates, led by Kaidou, conquered Wano Country 20 years ago along with Orochi, he refused to follow them. He was then imprisoned in the prison mine in Udon and did forced labor in the iron factory.
Present
Liberation from Udon and preparation for battle
When Charlotte Linlin went on a rampage in Udon, Tsunagoro, who was working at the iron factory, also witnessed it. After Luffy took over the Udon prison mines through a rebellion, Tsunagoro was freed along with the other former yakuza bosses and other prisoners. The four yakuza bosses bowed to Hyogoro and paid their respects. Tsunagoro assured his help and addressed that they will immediately gather the rest of the rebels. However, when Luffy called their boss “grandpa”, the yakuza took it as an insult and grabbed him.
They threatened to punish him and asked Hyogoro for a suitable method of torture, with Tsunagoro already holding Luffy’s outstretched arm and aiming a knife at it. However, Hyogoro replied that he owed his life to the straw hat, and so the yakuza let him go. They then left and prepared for the rebellion. Two days before the planned battle, the Yakuza bosses informed Kinemon via Den-den Mushi that they had gained more allies. However, the night before the planned battle, Orochi had destroyed all the major bridges, cutting off any route to the agreed upon rendezvous point.
Raid on Onigashima
However, it turned out that Orochi had misinformation, allowing the passage to Onigashima of the entire alliance as well as other unexpected allies. There, they were able to infiltrate the Beasts Pirates and get to the main stage. As the battle began, Tsunagoro also dropped his disguise and commented on X’s behavior alongside Hyogoro. Drake.
Then, when Queen released the Ice Demon Virus, and after Chopper got his hands on the antidote with Zoro’s help, the Yakuza bosses assured him that they would protect the Straw Hat Doctor during the mass production. When Omasa feared losing control due to the virus, he asked Tsunagoro to end his life. In time, however, Chopper was able to create the antidote and neutralize the virus. When Zoro and Sanji’s battle against the main representatives King and Queen began, Hyogoro instructed the yakuza bosses to make sure no one interfered.
