Appearance

Since Shishilian is a lion mink, his animalistic external features dominate over the human ones. His wiry built body is thus covered in lion fur. He has a red mane that covers most of his face and torso, which is why it resembles a full beard. Furthermore, Shishilian grew a long black twirly beard. His appearance and clothing is that of a typical musketeer. This includes a purple cape, a pastel colored shirt, a black feathered hat, black gloves, dark boots and dark pants, which are held by a black leather belt. Along his torso runs a dark belt.
Personality
Shishilian is always concerned with his and his men’s manhood, and therefore never asks to talk about cute things like babies in his presence. Furthermore, he is known to be prone to exaggeration and is said to be very passionate about everything he does. He has no problems revealing appreciation, such as kneeling before Luffy in gratitude.
Skills and strength
Shishilian’s strength is outstanding even among the battle-hardened Minks, and has also earned him his nickname as well as his rank as Captain of the Musketeers. He fights with a rapier, which he can also enhance with the Minks’ ability Electro. Furthermore, he has the agility of a feline predator. He is also able to control his Su Long form during the full moon.
Past
Even before Carrot became a member of the Musketeers, Shishilian was active there and took over the training of the very same. He was determined to train them under his guidance to become great swordsmen, but this did not seem to be crowned with success. The reason had been realized by Pedro, who interfered with the training. The sword was simply not the right weapon for her fighting style, so he handed her fighting gloves, which she still wears today. Shishilian was replaced as Carrot’s instructor by Pedro.
Present
Jack’s attack on Zou
Together with the other musketeers, Giovanni and Concelot, Shishilian defended his home from Kaidou’s pirates. By day they fought, by night they rested and let the nocturnal Minks do the fighting. After five days, as the Minks slowly gained the upper hand, Jack released the poison gas “Koro” on Zou. The poison weakened the Minks so much that the pirates ended up defeating them. The strongest Minks, which included Shishilian, were crucified. Only the Straw Hats were able to drive Jack’s minions off the island, use Caesar’s devil powers to neutralize the poison, and free the Minks from their torment.
Luffy’s arrival on Zou
Luffy first met Shishilian when he and his gang went to pay a visit to Duke Inuarashi. Shishilian had previously just reprimanded some of his soldiers, but bowed instantly when he saw the Straw Hat Pirates. But the next day the siren sounded, the Minks and also the Straw Hats were informed that samurais had entered the island. Samurais like that Raizo because of whom the Minks suffered so much at the hands of Jack and his entourage.
The Straw Hats as well as many Minks rushed to the capital, but when the samurais revealed themselves, things calmed down. As it turned out, the fighting Minks knew very well that Raizo was on the island, but protected him by denying this to Jack. Everyone present was now very happy to see the samurais, especially Lord Momonosuke, and so was Shishilian. But the joy did not last long.
After Inuarashi, Nekomamushi, the samurais as well as the straw hats returned from the whale tree, the ground shook. Jack returned to wipe out the Minks by trying to bring Zunesha down. The giant elephant cried out, but only Luffy and Momonosuke could hear this, the rest however noticed the tremor and so Shishilian was brought down as well as many more Minks. Momonosuke, however, was able to communicate with Zunesha, and so Jack, along with his crew and the ship, was sunk to the bottom of the sea by just a single blow from Zunesha.
After all the turmoil, Shishilian asked to join Sanji’s rescue party towards Whole Cake Island, but Nekomamushi ordered him to stay on Zou for the time being.
Departure for Wano Country
As it later turned out, he instead joined Inuarashi in the direction of Wano Country. They came across the injured Tama and while Shishilian with Inuarashi and others encountered the samurai Ashura Doji and a brief showdown ensued, other Minks took the injured woman to Kuri for treatment.
The samurai refused to join them in the fight against Kaidou, but they devised a plan to convince him. They stole weapons and food from Kaidou’s men, but always left behind notes showing Ashura and his Atamayama gang as the culprits. While preparing for the decisive battle, he chatted with Nami, Robin, and others about the weather on Onigashima and the importance, as clear skies during the full moon would give them a huge advantage. A day before the planned attack, he stood with Carrot and Wanda at the makeshift grave for Pedro in Kuri.
Attack on Onigashima
When the day of the Fire Festival finally arrived, he joined the battle aboard the Thousand Sunny before joining the situation briefing on the Polar Tang. Once on Onigashima, he joined the eastern squad led by Kinemon and they were able to advance despite the sudden appearance of Big Mom as she was distracted by Chopper and Usopp. This allowed Shishilian to make his way to the top of the Skull alongside more Minks, and he was preparing when Kaidou appeared there with the Akazaya.
The Minks wanted to take care of Jack so that Inuarashi and Nekomamushi could focus entirely on Kaidou. However, despite the full moon, they succumbed to the main representative of the Beasts Pirates in their Su Long form, after which Nekomamushi and Inuarashi finished Jack off. Inuarashi eventually ordered them to leave the rooftop as the fight against Kaidou really got going.
On the 5th floor, they finally defeated the Beasts Pirates Pirates, creating a direct path to the roof for Luffy. Afterwards, Shishilian met Bariete and informed Nekomamushi, who had left the roof again of Pedro’s death.
