Sarahebi of One Piece

Sarahebi a teacher in the Flower Capital and a supporter of Kurozumi Orochi. She is also a member of the Beasts Pirates, led by Kaidou.

Appearance

Sarahebi is an average sized woman with light purple shoulder length hair. She has yellow eyes, wears red lipstick and has a small flower in her hair. She wears a dark purple kimono with a blue floral pattern and a vertical light and dark red striped obi.

In addition, she can sometimes be seen with and sometimes without horns on her head.

Personality

Sarahebi is loyal to Orochi, so she imparts propaganda to the children of the Flower Capital, portraying Orochi as the protector of Wano Country and Kozuki Oden, and the Nine Akazaya as criminals. She gets pissed off when the kids just say the names of the “bad guys”.

Skills and strength

Because of her devilish power, she can stretch her neck enormously, giving her pointed fangs and the tongue of a snake.

In the fight against Sanji, she used a trap with her comrades, serving as a decoy. Afterwards, she managed to bring Sanji to the ground with a kick, together with one of her comrades.

Present

Sarahebi was teaching children in the Flower Capital about the history of Wano Country and the “crime” of opening the gates of Wano Country to the outside world. When the children mentioned the name Oden and the Nine Akazaya, she got mad and stretched her neck so that her head was between the children.

On the day of the Fire Festival, Sarahebi was also present on Onigashima. After the alliance around Monkey D. Luffy and co. started the fight, she was at Black Maria’s side on the third floor. There, they lured Sanji into a trap by having Sarahebi pretend to be harassed by a man. When Sanji then tried to rush to her aid, he became entangled in a spider web and received a kick from her as well as the man, knocking him to the ground.

When Sanji then tried to escape, they had no trouble catching up with him. Tied up, they forced the Cook to lure Robin here, which he did quite quickly, much to Sarahebi’s amazement. Robin, however, was accompanied by Brook, who was able to free Sanji from the net. Sanji was able to escape and Robin and Brook took over the fight. While Nico Robin took care of Black Maria, Brook, without wasting much time, defeated Sarahebi and more of Black Maria’s subordinates.

Miscellaneous

  • Eiichiro Oda mentioned her name in SBS volume 95.
  • Her abilities seem to be based on a fictional being of Japanese folklore, the Rokurokubi. Sara-hebi is another name for Nure-onna, a being of Japanese mythology with the body of a snake and the head of a woman. Hebi means “snake.”
