The Straw Hat Pirates has only just entered the New World when a distress signal reaches them. The pirates arrive at a burning island called Punk Hazard, where Luffy, Zoro, Usopp and Robin are lucky enough to be allowed to explore the island. After some discoveries, they suddenly find themselves face to face with a real dragon with a human’s abdomen inside. At the same time, the rest of the gang, with the exception of Brook, is kidnapped. The G5 naval unit led by Vice Admiral Smoker and Captain Tashigi also drop anchor off the island, having intercepted the distress call.
Apparently, next to the burning side exists an icy one, on which a large building complex stands. Out of this suddenly steps Trafalgar Law, now Samurai of the Seas. A short fight ensues, which Law wins. At that moment, the kidnapped Straw Hats run out of the building with Kinemon, a samurai cut up by Law, who has discovered some kidnapped children inside who they now want to take home.
Law causes some confusion with his devil powers before reporting to Caesar Clown, the mastermind behind the island. It turns out that Caesar Clown, a scientist, had some children kidnapped in order to perform experiments on them with dangerous drugs. Meanwhile, the Straw Hat Pirates meets up with the children on the snowy side. After a failed assassination attempt by the Yeti Cool Brothers, Trafalgar Law appears, offering Luffy a pirate alliance to overthrow one of the Four Emperors. Delighted, the Straw Hat captain accepts the offer.
Trafalgar Law has been doing research on the island. The time has come for Caesar to be betrayed, and Law has devised a plan to kidnap the scientist. However, the latter is already preparing his next experiment in the form of Shinokuni, a huge cloud of poison gas that gradually envelops the entire island. Only the laboratory offers protection for a while. It turns out that the samurai of the seas Donquixote Doflamingo is involved in what is happening.
The scientist informs Doflamingo of the state of affairs before the latter sends his assassins to Punk Hazard to sort things out. Meanwhile, battles rage in the lab and the gas continues to seep in. Meanwhile, the kids are demanding the drug-injected candy. The Straw Hats want to prevent this at all costs, as the children could die if they continue to consume it. Luffy, meanwhile, makes the acquaintance of Kinemon’s son Momonosuke before turning his attention to Caesar Clown.
He is able to beat the scientist to the outside. The rest of the pirates and the G5 marines also make their way outside, where Franky is already fighting the Dress Rosa assassins, adamantly preventing them from taking the already defeated Caesar Clown. Eventually, all the enemies can be defeated and Caesar can be successfully captured. Donquixote Doflamingo knows about the events on Punk Hazard and sets out in person, but is too late. As a result, Law gives Doflamingo an ultimatum via Den-den Mushi….
