Storyline
The Straw Hat Pirates is still on the run from Vice Admiral Garp. Luffy, Chopper and Usopp are celebrating happily. The townspeople of Water 7 shout to the pirates to escape as quickly as possible, and Koby and Helmeppo are also worried about their friends. The marines on Garp’s ship wonder why the Straw Hat Pirates have suddenly caught their sails. Franky, before his plan is carried out, wants to pick a name for the ship. Luffy immediately gives his names for the ship, however they are just simple and silly listings of random animals. Franky offers a potential name for the ship, which Iceburg picked out when he first saw the figurehead of the ship: Thousand Sunny.
The crew is immediately enthusiastic about this name and puts aside the rest of their name suggestions, except for Franky, who tries to get his name for the ship accepted after all. The latter eventually settles for the name of Iceberg and wants to begin the plan to leave Water 7. He advises the remaining members to take one last look at the water city. Luffy calls out to his grandpa and Koby that he was happy to see them again and now they will escape. Garp is furious at Luffy for saying such a thing and pulls out his final weapon: a truly gigantic cannonball that would no doubt sink the Sunny to the bottom of the ocean. Franky now unpacks with his plan and introduces a giant air cannon powered by Coke. Just before the giant cannonball can sink the Thousand Sunny, a huge blast of power shoots out of the stern, sending the Sunny flying away and saving the ship from the bullet: Coup de Bust! Franky explains that the Coup de Bust can shoot the ship a kilometer away and uses up three barrels of Coke. All present can only marvel at this ship and its crew!
The workmen head back to the shipyard and Granny Kokoro, Chimney & Gonbe make their way to Shift station. The Franky Family is now left without their boss Franky on Water 7, wondering what they can do. Iceberg offers them work in the shipyard.

They assume when Vivi comes to know about it that she will react sadly and shocked as well. However, this is not the case, because she knew about it. She believes in Luffy and that he will one day become Pirate King.
Baltigo Island, Grand Line: A kingdom in the South Blue, Centaurea, has fallen after an uprising. Some men seem happy about this, but they are warned by a man who can only be dimly recognized, because there is a war going on, after all. The same man inquires about a wanted poster lying on a table, it is Luffy’s wanted poster. Now that he knows about Luffy, he makes his way out of the building, talking about fate and how he would like to see Luffy again. Now it’s also clear who’s behind the silhouette: it’s the biggest felon in the world, Monkey D. Dragon!

Miscellaneous
- Thanks to a translation error, Smoker refers to himself here as a fleet admiral, but he is merely a flotilla admiral.
- Another translation error is Zeff saying that the entire All Blue soldiers are now after them.
