Storyline
Onigashima: Big Mom and Charlotte Perospero have met, with the Empress having just told her son of her alliance with Kaidou. To his incomprehension about this step, she in turn replies that she has a plan behind it. Marco also joins the action, revealing that the gangs of Whitebeard and Charlotte Linlin once had a common goal in “defeating the demon”, which is no longer given now that the Straw Hat Pirates has taken it on…
Meanwhile, Carrot has learned that Perospero is on the island, so she immediately rushes to him to get revenge for Pedro….
At the same time on the roof: The Akazaya finally pounce on their real enemy Kaidou, who meets them with lightning bolts from his mouth. Dodging them, Nekomamushi attacks first, followed by Kawamatsu, Inuarashi, O-Kiku, and Izou. Trying to recover from this, however, the Emperor instead finds that Kinemon, Denjiro, Ashura Doji, and Inuarashi have confronted him next, each holding two swords in their hands. Imitating their old lord’s two-sword style, they finally deliver a mighty joint blow to Kaidou’s scar, which had once been caused by Kozuki Oden…!

Oda had suddenly fallen ill a week earlier. Because of that, the release of chapter 992 was delayed by a week and Oda couldn’t keep his schedule (see chapter 991)..
