Storyline

The New World, New Marineford: Grand Admiral Sakazuki has just contacted Admiral Fujitora via Den-den Mushi to ask him if he is satisfied with the abolition of The Seven Warlords of the Seas that he longed for and has now decided upon. Issho confirms this assumption, as he is glad that now no one has to suffer any more from one of these tolerated pirates and he also has full confidence in the “SSG” founded as a replacement for the 7 Samurai. Sakazuki, on the other hand, is not convinced of this when he tells Fujitora on this occasion that Kaidou and Big Mom have allied in Wano Country. Issho’s shock at this “return of the Rocks” is countered by Sakazuki with the ominous message that this alliance couldn’t have happened at a worse time….

At the same time, Sengoku and Brannew are also at headquarters to pass on the news to the top naval leadership. The former first takes the floor to tell the officers present a story of the past, of which hardly anyone knows anything nowadays: Forty years ago, one of the most powerful pirate gangs of all times was founded on the island of Hachinosu, which once included greats like Edward Newgate, Charlotte Linlin and Kaidou, as well as other big names like Shiki and Captain John! Their captain was a man named Rocks D. Xebec, who aspired to overthrow the World Government and become King of the World! However, this was prevented 38 years ago by the “Hero of the Navy” Vice Admiral Monkey D. Garp, who won a monstrous battle against the Rocks Pirates on the island of God Valley, whereupon that very gang disintegrated. Garp then received his current reputation in the ranks of the Navy, which even allowed him to repeatedly refuse promotion to admiral, because his understanding of morality and justice did not match that of World Nobles. However, what almost no one knows today is that Garp was only able to achieve this victory because he allied himself with a powerful pirate at the time, none other than Gol D. Roger himself! Hence, this part of the story was kept quiet and the name God Valley and the God Valley incident there was stricken from the history books. And the fact that Rocks also had the Will of D. in his name made the situation all the more significant for the World Government.

At this point, Sengoku turns the floor over to Brannew to reveal the current bounties of the 4 Emperors, the strongest of all current pirates, as well as the greatest threat to the Navy and government – Marshall D. Teach aka Blackbeard: 2,247,600,000 Berry; “Red Hair” Shanks: 4,048,900,000 Berry; Charlotte Linlin aka Big Mom: 4,388,000,000 Berry and Kaidou of the Beasts Pirates: 4,611,100,000 Berry! Without the now-abolished Samurai of the Seas, according to Brannew, this would leave the Navy with only the “Special Science Group,” a new plan by legendary scientist Vegapunk to defend against the Alliance of Two Emperors. The reason for this is that the combined bounties of these two exceed even those of Edward Newgate aka Whitebeard (5,046,000,000 Berry) and Pirate King Gol D. Roger (5,564,800,000 Berry), the highest ever awarded!

Suddenly, Grand Admiral Sakazuki himself enters the room. According to him, the navy does not currently have the resources to go to Wano Country, where both emperors are currently staying. Sengoku, however, finds it extremely odd that this alliance took place in Wano Country, of all places, the home of Kozuki Oden, who was once esteemed by Gold Roger, as well as Whitebeard, and likewise Shanks. He thought it was too much of a coincidence that so many great names were linked together in one place at this moment….
