From the ship decks of the world – The 500,000,000 Man, Part 21 “Rusukaina”
Storyline
After Luffy is sure that he has seen Sanji on the shore of Whole Cake Island, the four Straw Hats and Carrot want to go ashore. That’s when Pedro asks Luffy to excuse himself, since his plan would require him to borrow Brook as backup after all. The Straw Hat agrees without hesitation, whereupon the skeleton goes diving with the Jaguar Mink in Shark Submerge 3. At the shore, Luffy immediately wants to go in search of his comrade-in-arms, but he has suddenly disappeared without a trace. Nami immediately gets a bad feeling when her captain and this time Carrot spot Sanji again. But before they can rush to him, the Cook is already gone. On a bridge, the four are then attacked by a giant crocodile, which, however, wears human clothes and can speak. When it realizes that the newcomers are “only” humans, it simply goes on its way. Nami is getting more and more nervous about the unusual events, which is why she suggests trusting Pudding and waiting on the shore instead of continuing to walk through this strange forest made of candy. Both Luffy and Chopper are unconcerned, however, when the Straw Hat abruptly sees a second Luffy in front of him. Before the others can even think about this confusing yet shocking event, the two straw hatters collide. As Carrot catches sight of Sanji again, Luffy gives the order to continue following the apparition without him. In doing so, to their horror, they come across a giant humanoid creature that appears to be buried up to its neck in the ground. This doesn’t seem to bother the giant creature, however, as it instead asks to be handed apple juice from a nearby waterfall. In exchange, he says, it wants to help them in their quest with information. At that moment, however, Carrot is attacked by a rabbit-like creature, which kills some talking trees as a result and then disappears again. Since everything in this forest seems to be alive in an inexplicable way and there’s no guarantee that the Sanji they saw isn’t just an illusion, Nami wants to flee immediately. Suddenly the log port goes crazy and all the trees start to move together to block the straw hats’ escape routes and, according to Nami, start a “deadly game”…
