Caribou’s Kehihihi in the New World, Part 40: “Gaburu the Hero”
Caribou has absorbed the whole factory and is now hailed by the rebels as the hero Gaburu.
Storyline
Before the Corrida Colosseum: Zoro left the rescue of the Thousand Sunny to Sanji. The latter previously gave them a map to the Toy House and a Den-den Mushi to contact each other. Zoro and Kinemon, wanting to remain inconspicuous, now figure out a method to get into the Coliseum and contact Luffy. From inside, the swordsman of the Straw Hat Pirates has already been recognized by Bartolomeo. Bartolomeo is moved to tears, because he is as enthusiastic about Zoro as he is about his captain.
At the Royal Palace: Baby 5 asks Gladius, a member of Pica’s squad, to calm down. However, the latter is so incensed by Violet’s betrayal, which threw her plans completely off track, that his hat puffs up until it finally bursts, exposing his lush head of hair. The traitor, however, was said to have been acting strangely since yesterday, as her devilish powers should have enabled her to detect the Straw Hat Pirates’s ship much earlier.
Sanji and Violet ride a toy horse towards Green Bit. She thinks that there are already four Navy battleships at the harbor, along with at least 3,000 soldiers. This is because her devil powers allow her to send her sight like a bird over distances of up to 4,000 kilometers. Just as she is about to tell Sanji what she wants to do after her escape, Violet realizes that lightning has struck the Sunny.
On the Thousand Sunny: The lightning bolt came from Nami’s climate clock. With this, they have finally defeated the rebellious Giolla. While the Straw Hats consider how to proceed with that one now, she begins to taunt the pirates, as they still haven’t realized Donquixote Doflamingo’s plan.
On Green Bit: Doflamingo explains that while he was a world aristocrat, he is no longer. He would have liked to tell Law more about his hapless life, but he now has to deal with the Straw Hat Pirates, which too many have already underestimated. Issho meanwhile wonders as he heard lightning when there should be clear skies. This makes Law realize that the Sunny is already nearby, and makes it clear he didn’t give Doflamingo Caesar’s heart. He had switched it with that of one of the marines present, and is now fleeing Fujitora’s ‘Gravity’ through his abilities. Law then kidnaps Caesar again and tries to escape from Doflamingo.
Meanwhile, the Sunny is already near the coast of Green Bits, where they are now being attacked by the fighting fish. Law plans to lure Doflamingo to the bridge at Dress Rosa to stall for time, and get Caesar from there onto the Sunny. However, when a scream is heard from the ship, which is under attack by the fish, Doflamingo sees through the plan and changes direction. Law may want to stop him, but he is already on his way to sink the straw hats present. Through the air, Sanji appears at the last moment. He stops Doflamingo to protect his friends!
