Storyline
Jaya, Mocktown: A drunken pirate pees in the sea and thanks Bacchus for his gifts. A newspaper gull drops a newspaper with the new wanted posters, including the new ones of Luffy and Zoro. Shocked by the amount of Luffy’s bounty, he runs into the bar where Bellamy is staying and advises him to flee if he doesn’t want to die. Bellamy’s gang is also shocked when they hear the bounty. Bellamy is cold to the news. Some pirates fake their own wanted posters with increased bounties. He thinks Luffy and Zoro are bottles, which reassures his crew. Suddenly, someone outside calls loudly for Bellamy.
Bellamy steps out of the bar, Luffy is waiting on the roof of a tower. While running to Mocktown, he had remembered Cricket’s help and also the time limit of three hours. He wants the gold back from Cricket. Bellamy, with the help of his devil power, jumps up to Luffy on the roof. When asked why he cares, Luffy tells him Cricket and the monkeys are his friends. On the ground, everyone laughs at him, only the pirate with the wanted posters is scared, but is beaten up by Bigknife Sarquiss, saying Luffy isn’t even worth three berries.
The first confrontation has been a different matter for Luffy. Bellamy laughs, jumps up, causing the roof to come off, and pushes off another building with the super snipe. Luffy dodges, pushing off from the falling roof as well. He falls to the ground unimpeded, but gets right back up. Bellamy uses his Mega Snipe, which he also used to finish off Roshio, the executioner. As he does so, he leaps from wall to wall at high speed, closing in on his opponent. As he does so, he taunts Luffy and Cricket about their dreams. They are not pirates, he says. Luffy still stands there untouched, only raising his right arm and clenching his fist. Bellamy comes charging at him head on. Luffy rams Bellamy into the ground with a punch to the face. The face has a fist print of Luffy’s on the right side.
