Storyline
Arabasta, at Rainbase: Luffy has allowed himself to be dragged down by Crocodile of Scissors instead of Vivi. He tells his crew to get Vivi to Arbana unharmed. Vivi wants to stop Luffy, but the rest of the Straw Hats stop her. All that matters is stopping the rebellion, and only Vivi can do that. If it takes the death of a Straw Hat, they are willing to make that sacrifice. Sanji makes her realize that she’s made good friends in the fight against the Baroque Company. She is convinced and calls out to Luffy that they will meet again in Arbana. Crocodile tells Miss Bloody Sunday to inform the agents in Arbana that the Princess is on her way with the Straw Hats. He himself wants to take out Luffy.
Luffy vs Crocodile: Luffy sits up and thinks that Vivi thinks she can stop the rebellion without sacrifice. However, that is wishful thinking and so now Crocodile has to take the fall. He calls him a big jerk, which makes Miss Bloody Sunday smirk. Threateningly, Crocodile warns her, calling her Robin. She tells him not to call her that and leaves to go to Arbana as well. He makes an hourglass come out of the ground next to Luffy and gives the fight three minutes. Luffy immediately strikes with the Gomu Gomu no Pistol, Crocodile turns to sand and charges at Luffy, looking to hit him with his hook. The latter drops backwards and counters with Gomu Gomu no Stamp, but the kick goes through Crocodile, who has turned back into sand. Crocodile taunts him, and even with the Gomu Gomu no Gatling that follows, the punches go through Crocodile ineffectively. Doggedly, Luffy continues to attack with the Gomu Gomu no Bazooka and follows it up with a massive Gomu Gomu no Ono. Crocodile, however, is standing behind him completely unscathed and wants him to understand the futility of the attacks. Luffy immediately punches his face, causing Crocodile to make a hissing sound, teasing him. Crocodile becomes enraged.
