Machvise is a member of Donquixote Doflamingo’s pirate gang. There he is subordinate to Diamante’s Karo unit.

Appearance
Machvise is a tall, roundish man with a full beard. He has extremely large upper arms with the sign of Doflamingo tattooed on them. He wears a red swimsuit with a large neckline and circles on it. He is also very hairy, so in addition to his full blond beard, he has long blond hair on his head, as well as hair on his chest and forearms. Apart from that he always wears sunglasses and a red hat with a black umbrella, on which you can also see the sign of Doflamingo. Furthermore, he has a tail that is stuck in his swimsuit and wears a large iron shield on his back, which is marked with an X.
Ten years ago he wore a sleeveless shirt with breast pockets. But he was already wearing his hat then. Sixteen years ago, Machvise was much more toned and wore his beard a little shorter. He wore a dark muscle shirt with a swirl pattern, short blue pants, and brown gloves.
Personality
Machvise seems to be someone who is always in a good mood, as he is usually seen with a big smile on his face. He has a habit of ending his sentences with a stretched -iiin. He is always ready for a fight and has a lot of confidence to do so. Thus, after Doflamingo resigned as Samurai of the Seas, he announced that he would fight any marine who came to their island.
Skills and strength
Machvise was said to be a strong fighter and would have a 100% chance of winning the Corrida Colosseum along with the other three top officers. He ate of the Ton Fruit and thus became a Super Weight person (jap. 超体重（スーパーウエイト）人間, Sūpā Ueito Ningen). He can increase his body weight to at least 10,000 tons, causing drastic destruction. When doing so, he flies into the air using his powers and then drops down on his opponents. This is how he defeated Boo, the vice-commander of the Happo Navy, among others. He was also able to inflict severe injuries on Hajrudin, a giant, and even break several of its bones. To reinforce his attack power, Machvise always carries his heavy iron shield, which he may strap around his stomach for an attack, crashing into his opponent ahead.
Past
Machvise was already a permanent member of Donquixote Doflamingo’s band of pirates 16 years ago. As such, he and his comrades-in-arms engaged in typical activities such as raiding and pillaging, adventuring on various islands, and fighting other pirates. They were also involved in shady dealings. Thus, the pirate gang gained more and more influence in the world. Then, ten years ago, Machvise participated in the takeover of Dress Rosa.
Present
Problems on Punk Hazard
While Doflamingo was on Dress Rosa talking to Vergo via Den-den Mushi about Law and the problems on Punk Hazard, Baby 5 attacked Doflamingo. Machvise tried to calm her down, but Baby 5 wouldn’t listen to him.
Dress Rosa – Corrida Colosseum
To trap Straw Hat Luffy, Doflamingo called a tournament in his coliseum. The winner of the tournament would receive the Fire Fruit, which once belonged to Ace. However, in order to win the tournament, the opponents would first have to defeat the members of the Donquixote family who were participating in the tournament. These were Senor Pink, Dellinger, Lao G, Machvise, and Diamante.
Stopping the Straw Hats
Later, he, Señor Pink, Lao G, and Dellinger were pulled from the tournament again before they even had a chance to fight. Their new mission was to keep the Straw Hats away from the Smile Factory. Machvise later helped Senor Pink in his fight with Franky. Together, they managed to overpower the cyborg. However, when the toys turned back into humans, Franky took the opportunity to flee in the commotion. However, shortly after, Luffy fell into the round along with Law and Zoro. Machvise, Senor Pink, and the added Dellinger tried to grab the three. However, the pirates managed to play them off against each other. Shortly thereafter, Pica, in the form of a stone giant, appeared and attacked the Straw Hats. Machvise & Co. then fled to avoid being caught in Pica’s attack.
Attack of the Gladiator Alliance
Later, Machvise, along with Dellinger, Lao G, Baby 5, and Gladius, guarded level 2 of the new royal palace and saw from a distance how Luffy had joined forces with the former participants of the Corrida Colosseum to fight them. Since the normal troops had no chance against this alliance, the officers fought the former gladiators as they tried to advance to the third level. Machvise very quickly defeated Boo in the process, and shortly thereafter turned his attention to the giant Hajrudin….
Machvise seemed superior to his opponent as he lunged at him with a weight of 10 tons. Hajrudin then lay on the ground for a while, but when Machvise tried to attack Zoro next, the giant stood up once more. To defend his pride and to show that he was quite capable of keeping his word, he faced Machvise again. This time, the latter flew at him with a weight of 1,000 tons. But the giant did not give an inch. He countered the attack with his hardest blow, even though it broke his arm. However, he manages to defeat Machvise and throw him against Doflamingo’s birdcage. Hajrudin was thus the first of the gladiators to defeat one of the officers.
Later, they brought Machvise as well as the other defeated officers to Giolla, who forced Princess Mansherry to use her devil powers to heal everyone from the Donquixote Pirates again. But before that could happen, Leo and Kabu joined in. Kabu pushed the unconscious fighters aside, while Leo used his sewing powers to attach them to Giolla shortly after and pulled her together so they could all headbutt her, causing her to fall to the ground unconscious. After Luffy’s victory against Doflamingo, all the officers were arrested by the Navy.
Miscellaneous
- The barrel fruit works similarly to the poof fruit and is said to be superior to it. However, the strength depends on who and how well the person uses the devil’s power. Thus, the strength of a fruit does not automatically correspond to the strength of the user.
- Like many characters, Machvise also possesses a distinctive laugh. With him it is Nihihi
- His favorite food is pizza.
