Chocho of One Piece

Chocho is a resident of Okobore in Wano Country.

Chocho is a very small and old woman with graying hair, which she has tied into a bun at the back with a long pin. She wears a light kimono with a rose pattern.

Chocho is a very determined woman who believes in the Kozuki clan and especially in Kozuki Toki’s prophecy, even when Shutenmaru held his sword out to her and tried to convince her otherwise.

Twenty years ago, Chocho was present in Bakura with her grandson when Kuri Castle burned. She had already resigned herself to her fate and prayed, but Kozuki and Toki appeared and spoke her prophecy, from which Chocho drew new courage.

Monkey D. Luffy, Zoro, and Tama, with Komachiyo’s help, brought the food treasure ship to the poverty-stricken citizens of Okobore, however, the Atamayama gang of thieves led by Shutenmaru raided them shortly after. The citizens pleaded with them to let this go, but Shutenmaru was unwilling to compromise. However, Chocho confronted him in a prayerful posture and spoke of Kozuki Toki’s prophecy. Shutenmaru made it clear that he would kill her, however Jack, a main representative of the Beasts Pirates appeared, so he let go of Chocho.

However, one day before the fire festival, Holdem appeared in Okobore and wanted information about the ongoing thefts, even though the Atamayama thieves’ gang hideout had burned down. None of the villagers gave him any information, whereupon Holdem had let thevillage burn down. Chocho’s fate is unknown.

  • Her name was first revealed in Vivre Card ~ One Piece Picture Encyclopedia.
