Bonney Pirates

The Bonney Pirates originated in the Southblue, but has been sailing the Grand Line for some time. In the process, they have braved numerous dangers and gained an infamous reputation. Head of the gang is Jewelry Bonney, a ravenous young woman with a bounty of 140,000,000.

History

When the Straw Hats docked on the Sabaody Archipelago, the Bonney pirate gang was in a restaurant. Shortly thereafter, Zoro stood in the way of a world aristocrat on the open street and was immediately attacked by him. Zoro skillfully dodged and was about to counterattack immediately, but was prevented from doing so by Jewelry Bonney. Since attacking a World Aristocrat signifies the arrival of an admiral, Bonney shoved Zoro to the ground and pretended that he had been shot by the World Aristocrat. After the latter moved on, Bonney complained to Zoro about his lack of consideration for other pirates. To her dismay, Zoro did not elaborate, instead contenting himself with carrying a shot civilian to a nearby hospital. Jewelry Bonney felt that such an act was completely inappropriate for a pirate. Later, Jewelry Bonney was seen completely shocked to read the newspaper report of Ace’s scheduled execution.

When Luffy knocked down a world aristocrat shortly after, most of the pirates fled the island. Jewelry Bonney said she would beat up both Zoro and Luffy in the New World for their stupidity. A short time later, the entire Bonney gang was seen laughing at some marines at the docks, disfigured by Bonney’s devilish power.

During the big battle between the Whitebeard pirate gang and the navy, the Bonney gang was still on the archipelago. After the screens were turned off, Jewelry Bonney was seen crying, completely distraught.

Two years later, she infiltrated Mary Geoise during the Levely, as Queen Mother Conney of the Kingdom of Sorbet. There she caught sight of Bartholomew Kuma, who was held as a slave by the world’s aristocrats, and mourned him.
