Bakezo is a member of the Navy in the G5 unit, reporting to Smoker and Tashigi. Noticeably, he always wears a bucket instead of a naval cap.
He was present during the events on Punk Hazard, but mostly in the background. Bakezo was one of the marines who saved Tashigi’s life when they threw her into the next room of the lab, as Shinokuni almost caught her. However, Bakezo sacrificed himself along with the other soldiers in the process and was himself caught by the poisonous gas, after which he froze into a statue.
